Coaching Assignment Girls and Boys Varsity Golf
How long have you been coaching? 18 years
What made you want to become a coach? The opportunity to build strong, meaningful, and impactful relationships with students and then to be able to use those relationships to help the athletes/students/young people become as good as they can be in their sport and as a human. Also, I wanted to help create fun and memorable experiences for all those that participated.
Where did you go to school? Are you a Holt alum? Graduated from Lansing Everett High School. Earned a Bachelor of Science degree and teaching certificate from Michigan State University. Prior to that I played baseball at and graduated from Huntington College in Huntington, Indiana.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of coaching? I love to exercise each morning before school, play golf with my friends during the warm-weather months and travel with my wife and our two daughters.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Florida during spring break from school and New Hampshire/Maine in the summer
What is your favorite food/restaurant? Street tacos and chips and salsa from a variety of places in the Lansing area.
Do you have any pets? Not anymore. Used to have a black lab named Fritz.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you? I really enjoy photography.
Name one thing that is on your bucket list Cross country road trip from Michigan to Southern California.
